Quality Assurance

Purpose: The quality department ensures that the guild is operating as smoothly as possible. This department is required to identify the following:

1. Areas where the guild is operating with great efficiency and identifies factors that are causing that trend.
2. Areas where the guild is not meeting the quality standards as set forth by the Guild Council

As well as do the following:

3. Resolve guild conflicts and listen to member concerns regarding possible breaches in guild policy and determine if a breach exists.
- If a breach in guild policy does exist, then the information will be forwarded to the Guild Council to be taken care of and/or given to the Guild Enforcer to resolve.

4. Propose changes to the Guild Council regarding guild policy if it is determined that it would make the guild run more smoothly.

5. Propose expectations and standards for processes as well as projects. The Guild Council must approve guild projects as well as other standard processes before becoming official.

6. Guild projects are a part of the guild and generally do adhere to guild processes. Therefore Quality is required to monitor the progress of guild projects and advise the Project Development Division manager of any project that is not meeting the Guild Projects Standards in terms of general module quality, plan, design and progress of development. Along with this communication to the PDD manager, Quality can also suggest ways to improve all of the above.

7. Quality will ensure that the guild is making decisions consistent with standards set by the Guild Council. Thus acting as a "Check" to make sure that the guild is making the correct decisions. If Quality determines that this is not the case, then all information is to be forwarded to the Guild Council for evaluation. However, Quality itself cannot take any further action other than that.

8. Quality will compare The Builders Project to other guilds in an effort to determine how our guild is stacking up to others.

9. Quality will also investigate other guilds to see how their processes can be applied to The Builders Project to make it a better guild.

12. Quality will invent processes to monitor inactive members. Quality will create, or obtain, a list of inactive members periodically to submit to the Guild Council for possible course of action.

Mandate: The Quality department will endeavor to make sure that the guild is operating as best it can. It will also make sure that the guild is doing what it can with the resources it has.

Quality should also attempt to insure that members are satisfied with their guild and when they are not satisfied, diagnose the issue for the member, and forward its findings to the Guild Council for consideration and possible action. Quality will be the first entry point of any complaint made on behalf of a member.
Quality will also have to get back to the member with a response to their query. However, Quality is not an information department.
All information requests will be forwarded to the correct department.
